Saturday, May 25th, Community Health and Nutrition Fair! 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

The fair will give community members of the Northeast San Fernando Valley the opportunity to connect with a local family-owned market working toward increasing healthy food options in their neighborhood. The market will be doing promotions and giveaways of produce and healthy snacks. They will host a canned food drive, where all donations will be used to support North Valley Caring Services’ food distribution efforts.

Wendy Centeno of Guayaba Kitchen will be doing a cooking demonstration for participants where they can learn how to make a healthy recipe with items that can be found locally at the market. 

Hunger Action LA will be providing on-site CalFresh/SNAP application assistance. 

LA Compost will be providing education about the importance and power of composting.
