Welcome to Sylmar Neighborhood Council's
TRIVIA TUESDAY!
What do you call a baby owl?
A.) Cute
B.) Owlet
C.) Chick
The Answer is - B.) Owlet
An owlet is a young owl, either a nestling or a fledgling. A juvenile owl is a young owl that hasn't reached adult plumage.
Because California boasts such diverse habitat, we're lucky to host a lot of great owls here. If you spend any time outside camping or walking around, you're bound to come upon one, or more likely, hear one.
Owls that can be found in Los Angeles include great horned owls, barn owls, and snowy owls.
