Due to the anticipated moderate to heavy rainfall expected tonight through Thursday in Los Angeles, City and County agencies have deployed resources to proactively address public safety.
Residents who reside in areas affected by La Tuna Canyon and Creek Fires should prepare for evacuations & street closures anticipated to begin on Wednesday, March 21.
• VOLUNTARY EVACUATIONS - in the La Tuna Canyon Fire burn areas will be in effect starting 6 PM on Wednesday, March 21 from the 9000 block of La Tuna Canyon Road to Sunland Blvd; from Day St. (North Border) to Plainview Ave. (East Border) to Sherman Grove Ave. (West Border).
• • MANDATORY EVACUATION - in the Creek and La Tuna Canyon fire burn areas will be in effect starting at 6 PM on Wednesday, March 21 for Kagel Canyon, Lopez Canyon, and Little Tujunga. In addition, the 8300 block to 9000 block of La Tuna Canon Road will also be under a mandatory evacuation.

Evacuations shelters will be established at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, March 21 at Sylmar High School, 13050 Borden Ave. Sylmar.
Voluntary relocation of large animals to be taken at Hansen Dam 11127 Orcas Ave., Lake View Terrace beginning at 7 AM, Wednesday, March 21.
