The Sylmar Neighborhood Council would like to thank Board Director Don Neal for his dedicated service to the community. Mr. Neal has tendered his resignation after serving respectively in a "At Large" Representative seat.
Any Stakeholder who lives, works, owns property or declares a stake in the neighborhood as community interest stakeholder and who is 14 years or older, that is interested in serving and improving the Sylmar community by joining our Board is encouraged to apply.
Prospective board members should be available to consistently attend our monthly General Board meeting held on the fourth Thursday of every month and participate on a committee to make a difference in Sylmar.

What is a Stakeholder?
Stakeholders shall be defined as those who live, work or own real property in the neighborhood and also to those who declare a stake in the neighborhood as a community interest stakeholder, defined as a person who affirms a substantial and ongoing participation within the Neighborhood Council’s boundaries and who may be in a community organization such as, but not limited to, educational, non-profit and/or religious organizations.
