Message & Invitation from LA City Attorney Mike Feuer
INVITATION: School Safety Community Hearing
As the dad of two LAUSD graduates, I know that keeping our kids safe and secure at school is our top priority.
I invite you to join me in this crucial work as together, we establish recommendations on improving school safety. In light of the school shootings at Sal Castro Middle School in the Westlake area of our City and the one in Parkland, Florida, I have launched a series of school safety community hearings, in partnership with LAUSD.
Anchored by our Blue Ribbon Panel – leading experts in a variety of fields - we are having crucial conversations about school safety, both on-campus and within surrounding neighborhoods, and want your valuable input.
On Sunday, May 6, from 2-4pm, we’ll be at the Marvin Braude San Fernando Valley Constituent Service Center’s Community Room.
6262 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys 91401.
Parents, students, teachers and all members of the community: we invite your participation. In addition to your input, we’ll have presentations from school safety experts.
We will have Spanish translation (un traductor estara disponible) and we’ll be serving refreshments from Panera Bread.
