Two years ago, I was elected to this Neighborhood Council as an ambitious 17 year old high school student looking for some leadership opportunities within the community. I had an idea of what I wanted in life, but who would have known that this would become my passion.
Today, I am a sophomore at Cal State Northridge majoring in Management and minoring in Political Science. I serve as the Lower Division Senator for the student body, and as Chair of the External Affairs Committee. My passion for neighborhood councils transitioned to my university life, as I have focused many papers on the function of Neighborhood Councils, and how they can further support the community.
Within my two years as the current At Large Representative, I have used action to bring more city services to our community, including bike riding across Sylmar to fix our streets. I have the same passion, the same commitment, and two years worth of experience that will continue to serve you to the best of my ability.
