GOT MOSQUITOES?
WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED!

Since 1952, the Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District has served as the trusted, taxpayer-funded public health agency dedicated to protecting nearly six million residents from mosquitoes and
vector-borne diseases.

Our Services:

  • Conduct inspections of residential properties and businesses to help prevent mosquitoes and mosquito-borne diseases at no additional cost.

  • Offer presentations to community groups and informational booths at events.

  • Perform mosquito, black fly, non-biting midge, and arbovirus disease surveillance.

  • Continuously inspect and treat thousands of public spaces, including river channels, underground storm drains, and street gutters.

POTENTIAL MOSQUITO SOURCES IN YOUR HOME

The best method to reduce breeding on your property is to limit the number of potential sources. Inspect around and inside your home for potential breeding sources. If standing water is found, remove the source. If the source is not removed, you must check weekly for standing water to prevent mosquito breeding. Remember to look for mosquito sources every week and after rain events.

See the below VECTOR CONTROL CHECKLISTS.
