FOUND A LOST PET? HERE'S WHAT TO DO!

FOUND A LOST PET? HERE'S WHAT TO DO!
DID YOU KNOW?
Not every pet wandering the streets is abandoned! Many have loving families desperately searching for them.

If you find a lost pet, remember these important steps:
1. SAFETY FIRST! Approach carefully and only if it's safe. Try to take a picture
2. CHECK FOR ID! Look for a collar and identification tag. Secure it in a safe place.
3. SCAN FOR A MICROCHIP! Community Pet Scanners, a veterinarian, or an animal shelter may also be able to help.
4. REPORT THE FOUND PET! Contact your local animal shelter and follow local found-pet reporting requirements. Post on Pawboost.
5. HELP SPREAD THE WORD! Share a found-pet post in your community Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor, and post fliers in your neighborhood.

If claimed, verify ownership before releasing the pet.

At Community Pet Scanners Corp, we offer FREE/(but DONATIONS always welcome) community microchip scanning services in the San Fernando Valley!

REMEMBER: A lost pet could be someone's missing family member.
