NEW Metro Light Rail Coming to Sylmar

Did you know that the NEW Metro Light Rail line is coming and ending right here in Sylmar?

One of Metro's significant upcoming projects is to build a new light rail in the San Fernando Valley -- it's something they know many Valley residents and riders have long wanted. They will have three Open Houses for the project beginning Thursday evening (Feb. 9).

The project's first section will run on Van Nuys Boulevard between the G (Orange) Line and San Fernando Road. See the map for details. They will begin utility work for the project in late December.

The Open Houses allow you to learn more about the project, how it will be built, and how they will handle construction impacts. Metro will provide a presentation followed by an Open House where you can talk to staff handling various aspects of the project.
