Message from our Sylmar Library Librarian.

Today at 4:30 pm., Sylmar Library is hosting a craft for tweens and teens, "Blackout Poetry" and "Patchwork Poetry"!

I'll be putting out old books, and we can tear out pages from them to

upcycle into poems, blacking-out words to leave the poems to come forth from the pages. Also I'll have old magazines, scissors, glue, and colored papers for anyone who would like to upcycle them to create a patchwork collage of art and "found poetry".

I hope to see you today at 4:30 pm. at Sylmar Library!

Note: currently enrolled teen volunteers, be sure to let me know you attended so I can give you an hour of service credit for attending and helping with the program. Also, I have a cool Bluetooth speaker & water bottle (attached) to give you, just ask me during the program!
