Juvenile Hall to move nearly 300 Youth

Today (May 23, 2023) a California State Regulatory Board declared that the Hall is unsuitable to house pre-dispositioned youth ("predisposition youth" means minors that have not yet had their criminal cases resolved in court.) The County is ordered to relocate those detainees within 60 days stating the facility is not within compliance with State standards.
