Take a seat – any seat. It's FREE!

METROLINK is offering FREE RIDES on February 4 to commemorate Rosa Parks’ birthday and to highlight their commitment to equitable public transportation! ALL aboard and let us all get Southern California moving toward an equitable future.

On Saturday, February 4, METROLINK is inviting everyone to Take A Seat – Any Seat and ride Metrolink for free. That’s because it’s Transit Equity Day, which is the birthday of civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks.

Metrolink is committed to providing safe, accessible, and affordable transportation for everyone. All you have to do is simply arrive at the station and board the train (no ticket required) for system-wide Metrolink service. San Bernardino county public transportation providers (including OmniTransMBTAMountain Transit, and Victor Valley Transit) are also offering free rides on Transit Equity Day.

Please note: Transit systems in other counties may require a fare.

Transit Equity Day is a national day of action to commemorate the birthday of Rosa Parks by declaring that public transit is a civil right. Ms. Parks, an iconic civil rights leader, refused to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama in protest and to demand an end to segregation on transit systems.
