Congratulations Congresswoman Luz Rivas

Saturday, March 8th, 2025: Sylmar's Congresswoman for the Calif. 29th District celebrated her community swearing-in ceremony. Our former Congressman Tony Cardenas administered the oath of office while the congresswoman's mother held the bible and shed some tears of overwhelming joy.

With the wonderful Sylmar mountains in the background, the event held at Mission College was attended by hundreds of community members, friends, family, and elected officials. The Mariachi Master Apprentice Program performed the National Anthem beautifully, and the 205th Battalion, Pacoima Middle School, CA Cadet Corps, displayed the Color Guard and Pledge of Allegiance with precision and honor.
